Why renting clothes?

Except for saving money and space you also save the planet. We believe that circular economy is the new black and one important part is the consuming of clothes. Producing new clothes require a lot of energy and often clothes are just used a limited time, especially kids clothes. To rent is to care.

 

Where do the clothes come from?

We have chosen to only work with brands that share our values. From these brands we carefully hand-pick new clothes from the latest collections. Our aim is to offer a wardrobe of high-quality design clothes that will last.

 

What happens after I’ve placed my order?

You will receive an order confirmation to the email address you registered. We will pack and ship your order as soon as possible and notify you via email when your clothes are on their way. The clothes will come in a reusable package to your selected pick-up point.

 

What happens if an item gets damaged?

We want your kid to use the clothes as much as possible and play like kids should do, we understand that life happens and we expect normal wear and tear. Since our aim is to create a sustainable community we want the clothes to live a long life with many kids who could wear them. Therefore it is important that you follow the washing instructions. Repairs are made if needed, that’s on us. If an item gets damaged please let us know, using customercare@asecondloveaffair.com.

  

What happens if the clothes don’t fit?

We offer a size guide that hopefully helps you choosing the right size, and if you are uncertain we recommend you to pick a larger size. But every kid is unique and sometimes it just doesn’t work, in that case please contact us so that we can find a solution.

  

Can I buy the clothes I rent?

We always want you to return the clothes you have rented, our business idea is sharing within the community. But we will arrange clearance sales a couple of times per year, where we sell clothes that have been rented out before. Make sure to register for our newsletter to make sure you will be one of the first to know!

 

Are the clothes new or second-hand?

We buy new clothes from the latest collections from our brands. Between rentals we carefully wash, fix and wrap every garment, so it reaches its new family in mint condition - ready to be loved a second, third or even a fourth time.

 

How and when do I return the clothes?

When you have finished using the products, go to Manage my orders under your account on the website, and choose Cancel & Return. We will then send out a return label to you. When you recieve the return label you send back the clothes in the reusable package they came in, within a week after the following rental renewal date.

 

Can I return parts of my order?

Shipping of the whole order is included both to you and back to us. If you want to return some of the garments from the order before the end of the rental period we can solve that, but you need to contact us first. You will need to pay for that shipping, but we will withdraw the cost for those specific garments from the following month.

 

Why do I have to become a member?

Our free membership makes you become a part of our sustainable community with access to the kids clothes you want, as long as you want. We also want you to be a member for administrative reasons, this way you can easily keep track of your orders. You can cancel your membership anytime, no commitment whatsoever.

 

What do the service fee cover?

The service fee covers shipping both to you and then back to us, insurance, laundry and possible minor repairs after rental period as well as customer service.
You will be charged 69sek/month.

 

What is the minimum rental period?

You can choose how many clothes you like and rent as many months as you like. The rental period will be renewed once a month and you can simply unregister under your account on the website.

 

How do I know which of my kids clothes belong to A Second Love Affair?

All our clothes are labeled with a tag “A Second Love Affair” and an overview of the clothes you rented is available under your account on the website.

Which countries do we ship to?

We ship within Sweden and to Denmark. We hope in near future to be able to ship within EU.
